Electrical Engineering Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineering Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the electrical engineering activities on small to medium-sized projects or portions of major projects with minimal to moderate complexity.

  • Supervise and direct electrical engineering personnel, estimate project staffing needs, and develop work schedules.
  • Prepare electrical discipline estimates and work plans in accordance with project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Provide technical input to meet procurement requirements and review key calculations, licensing evaluations, and design documents.
  • Ensure assigned electrical engineering personnel receive appropriate training for professional development.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and 10-13 years of relevant experience in a brownfield environment, particularly in mining or large industrial plants. They will also have experience with Low Voltage and High Voltage Electrical Systems, knowledge of Australian Standards, and strong communication skills.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in design, procurement, construction, commissioning, or plant operation in large industrial plants, utilities, or process plants.
  • Ability to travel to site regularly to undertake site investigations.
  • RPEQ registration is required.
