Senior Electrical Engineer Specialist

Are you a seasoned Electrical Engineer looking for a challenging role that leverages your expertise in electrical and instrumentation design? We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Electrical Engineer at our Brisbane office.
In this position, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects related to battery minerals and plant optimisation. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, reviewing and marking up technical drawings, and providing construction and commissioning support.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience as an Engineer in Australia.
- Experience in heavy industry electrical and instrumentation design, including reviewing and marking up technical drawings.
- Ability to prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, electrical and instrumentation design specifications.
- Site experience in investigations, scoping, commissioning, and contractor management.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English for regular client interaction.
- Familiarity with relevant Australian Standards and regulations.
The successful candidate will lead and motivate teams, overseeing and coordinating the work of junior engineers and designers, providing technical guidance and support.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and specification of electrical and instrumentation equipment for hazardous areas.
- Functional safety lifecycle documentations, specifically LOPA method from the process safety standard.
- Conducting early-stage studies for electrical and instrumentation systems, including proficiency in electrical system calculations.
