PostgreSQL Database Engineer Defence Digital Modernisation

Leidos is a leading technology, engineering, and science solutions provider. We're seeking a skilled PostgreSQL Database Engineer to join our Defence Digital Modernisation team.
As a PostgreSQL Database Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale PostgreSQL databases for our Defence clients. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the optimal performance and security of our database environments.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Designing and implementing PostgreSQL database solutions to meet client requirements
- Configuring and monitoring PostgreSQL databases for optimal performance
- Providing support to application teams for PostgreSQL-related incidents
- Implementing monitoring and health reports to reduce issues affecting end-users
- Contributing to the creation and maintenance of technical system documentation
- Working within an ITIL framework for all work-related activities
Requirements:
- Relevant experience working with PostgreSQL databases in a complex environment
- Experience with PostgreSQL administration and management tools like pgAdmin and Pgpool
- Experience building and administering PostgreSQL clusters using repmgr
- Proven experience administering, configuring, and managing large database environments
- Experience in Service Management, Operations, and Disaster Recovery
