About the Role

Aged Care Resumes is seeking an exceptional Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Specialist to support our journey toward a more inclusive and diverse workplace.

In this pivotal role, you will lead the development and implementation of a range of DEI strategies, programs, and initiatives designed to cultivate an environment where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to contribute their unique viewpoints and life experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement DEI Strategies: Lead the development of strategy that reflects Aged Care Resumes' values with regard to recruitment, retention, inclusion, engagement and development of key target groups to create an inclusive and supportive workplace culture.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Collaborate with HR, leadership, and various teams to integrate DEI principles into recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training, and career development processes.
  • Support Gender Equality: Assist Aged Care Resumes to meet requirements under the Gender Equality Act 2020, including:
    • Support implementation, monitoring, and reporting of Aged Care Resumes' Gender Equality Action Plan
    • Contribute to the development of future Gender Equality Action Plans, including workplace gender auditing, data analysis and interpretation, conducting consultations and write up.
  • Measure and Evaluate DEI Programs: Establish and maintain metrics to measure the effectiveness of DEI programs and initiatives, regularly assessing progress and making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Communicate DEI Efforts: Develop communication strategies to raise awareness of DEI efforts and celebrate diversity achievements throughout the organization.
  • Stay Informed: Stay informed about industry best practices, trends, and legal requirements related to diversity, equity, and inclusion, incorporating them into Aged Care Resumes' policies and practices.
Requirements:
  • Experience and Qualifications: Significant experience and/or qualifications related to human resources, diversity and inclusion or related disciplines.
  • DEI Experience: Proven work experience in the DEI space, as a Diversity Officer, or in a similar role, with a focus on implementing successful DEI strategies and programs.
  • Knowledge and Skills: In-depth knowledge of DEI principles, best practices, and emerging trends in diversity and inclusion. Strong data analysis and interpretation skills, with the ability to use metrics to drive decision-making and measure the impact of DEI initiatives.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with employees at all levels and build a culture of inclusivity.
  • Collaboration and Influence: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and influence stakeholders to champion DEI initiatives.
  • Cultural Competence: Sensitivity to cultural differences and a commitment to promoting equity and fairness in the workplace.
  • Passion for DEI: Passionate about advancing diversity and inclusion and creating a positive and supportive work environment for all employees.
