The role of Conservation Manager is a senior management position within the Area, reporting directly to the Area Manager. It involves leading conservation efforts and managing projects to achieve conservation and community outcomes.
- Developing and implementing conservation strategies to protect the state's environment and heritage.
- Leading teams of Rangers to manage projects and deliver results.
- Providing high-level advice and support to the Area management team and Branch management team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing conservation projects to ensure successful delivery and achievement of outcomes.
- Coordinating with other departments to achieve shared goals and objectives.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders to promote conservation efforts.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to juggle competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Expert project planning skills and attention to detail.
- Sound IT capabilities and GIS experience.
- Industry experience and environmental assessment skills.

About the Area:
The Hawkesbury Nattai Area is part of the Blue Mountains Branch. The reserves managed by the Hawkesbury Nattai Area are located in the local government areas of Hawkesbury, Lower Blue Mountains, Wollondilly, and Wingecarribee.

Your project planning skills will be key in juggling and meeting competing priorities, while your ability to motivate and influence your team will be essential to achieving outcomes in a busy and changing environment.
