As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in championing environmental management across our operations to enhance business, customer, and environmental outcomes.

This includes:

  • Ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and quality standards through rigorous compliance and monitoring.
  • Mentoring and coaching a team of environmental specialists for effective incident response and internal engagement on operational projects.
  • Overseeing workflow distribution, roster management, performance monitoring, and reporting to ensure seamless operations.
  • Supporting professional development through on-the-job training, mentorship, and collaboration.
  • Leading and contributing to reviews of policies and procedures related to environmental planning and management processes.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a related field.
  • Extensive expertise in environmental impact assessments (EIA) and a proven track record in implementing environmental strategies and actions.
  • Deep understanding of NSW and Commonwealth environmental legislation and current environmental issues affecting the water industry.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills to engage stakeholders and drive change.
