At Athena, we're looking for an experienced Credit Assessor to join our team.

This role involves delivering an end-to-end service for consumers, from the assessment of original applications to fulfilment stage.

Key responsibilities include communicating with customers and brokers to workshop applications where required, providing application decision outcomes, and assessing consumer residential home loan applications within the credit risk appetite as set out by our company.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years Residential credit assessment experience in assessing PAYG and self-employed applications
  • Currently hold a Delegated Lending Authority
  • Experience assessing complex loans, e.g. bridging loans, commercial, trust and company loans, reading and understanding company and trust financials
  • Confidence talking with customers and brokers to deliver decision outcomes
  • Ability to work within policy and make recommendations for improvement
  • Experience managing a pipeline of assessment applications
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Driven and self-motivated to exceed targets and strive for excellence
