About the Role
Team Global Express is seeking an experienced and skilled Forklift Operator to join our team in a dynamic and fast-paced warehouse environment. This role offers a great opportunity to utilize your expertise in coordinating and loading dry freight, contributing directly to our customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake the safe and effective loading and unloading of pallets from trucks and containers, and manage the movement and storage of freight as required.
- Ensure careful handling of freight to prevent damage and maintain a high level of quality control.
- Check load restraint, packaging, and the condition of freight before it travels, adhering to strict safety and regulatory standards.
- Report any damage to freight or forklift to your supervisor immediately, and take proactive measures to prevent future incidents.
- Enter data accurately and efficiently into our system, ensuring seamless communication and coordination with our team.
Requirements
- Experience in driving a counterbalance long Tyne forklift is highly advantageous, with a valid Forklift License being essential.
- Familiarity with palletized freight is preferable, with a strong understanding of load restraints and dangerous goods.
- At least 2 years of experience working in a team within a fast-paced environment, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adhere to WHS and Safety Regulations, with a strong commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
- Excellent attitude, strong work ethic, and reliability, with a passion for delivering exceptional results and exceeding customer expectations.
- Good computer skills, with proficiency in data entry and system navigation.
