About This Role:

The school is a comprehensive Kindergarten to Year 12 community school located in the Wyong local government area.

We boast a diverse curriculum with over 300 students in our primary school and close to 1200 students in secondary school, comprising approximately 250 Aboriginal students and 7 Support Unit classes.

Our school values positive partnerships with Parents and Citizens' Association (P&C) and is an integral member of the Ngara AECG, collaborating closely with partner primary schools as part of the Wadalba Learning Community.

Our contemporary teaching and learning practices are designed to draw on expertise across K–12, while promoting a commitment to quality education.

Our staff comprises an Executive Leadership Team made up of 28 leaders, including 6 Assistant Principals Primary, 16 Head Teachers Secondary, 3 Deputy Principals Secondary, 1 Deputy Principal Primary, 1 Deputy Principal Inclusion and Support, and 1 Principal.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • A minimum of successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
  • Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
  • Educational leadership skills to build capacity and manage performance of individuals and teams
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
  • Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
  • Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy
