The Job Description

This high-impact role has far-reaching implications, including a focus on Brisbane 2032 Olympics infrastructure pursuits. As our National Business Development Lead, you'll identify opportunities, lead major bids, and develop strong partnerships across public and private sectors.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop strategic business development initiatives across key infrastructure sectors.
  • Lead high-stakes bid processes with internal technical teams.
  • Foster and manage collaborative relationships with government agencies, contractors, and consultants.
  • Collaborate with international design hubs to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Represent the organisation at industry forums and events.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior BD team members and support a high-performance culture.

Essential Qualifications and Skills
  • 10+ years of experience in business development within engineering or infrastructure consulting.
  • A proven track record of winning large-scale projects in rail, transport, energy, or urban development.
  • Deep understanding of Australian procurement and tendering processes.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (Master's preferred).
