Transportation Systems Engineer

This is an entry-level role for a traffic engineer to join our transportation systems group in Charlotte, NC.
The selected candidate will work with a team of traffic engineers and highway safety specialists on various public, private, and institutional projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing traffic and transportation planning solutions within a team setting.
- Performing intersection and corridor operational analyses using Synchro, SimTraffic, HCS, Sidra, and other analysis tools.
- Analyzing, developing, and evaluating traffic improvements.
- Creating conceptual intersection/roadway improvement designs and traffic signal design plans in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
- Preparing written reports summarizing data and analysis, and assembling findings and recommendations.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 0 to 1 years of transportation experience, preferably related to traffic or safety.
- Experience with Synchro/SimTraffic, Sidra, VISSIM, TransModeler, and/or other capacity software a plus.
- Experience with ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and/or MicroStation, and/or other planning/design/data software a plus.
