Role Overview

A permanent full-time position for a Fabrication Teacher within a reputable education and training organisation in South East Melbourne. For a Fabrication Teacher interested in working for a well-established organisation and providing teaching and vocational expertise related to fabrication, boilermaking and mechanical areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and delivering planned teaching sessions
  • Being innovative in teaching, using technology, including Moodle, to engage learners
  • Ensuring that learning materials and resources meet the regulatory standards
  • Improving the quality of teaching and learning through a student-based approach
  • Contributing to business development activities
  • Completing workplace visits during workplace/clinical placements
  • Ensuring high-quality, up-to-date and relevant teaching delivery, assessment and engagement of students

Requirements

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent
  • Certificate III in Engineering Fabrication Trade or equivalent
  • Prior Teaching Experience or Interested in becoming a Teacher
  • Registration with the relevant professional associations
  • Vocational experience
  • Communication Skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team
