About the Position

We are seeking a Team Leader to lead and coordinate the professional practice of our team to deliver positive outcomes for children and their families. The successful candidate will have:

  • Tertiary degree in a relevant discipline (social work, human services, allied health, psychology).
  • At least 5 years' experience providing case-management and therapeutic services to families, caregivers, young people, and children in the child protection framework.
  • Relevant experience supervising and supporting team members in a similar role.
  • Cultural awareness and an understanding of how to communicate and work effectively with families from different socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities

The Team Leader will be responsible for:

  • Directly line managing and providing high-quality supervision to a small team of staff.
  • Maintaining positive and collaborative relationships with the Department of Child Safety and key stakeholders.
  • Leading planning meetings, weekly team meetings, case consultations, presentations, and reviews.
  • Coordinating the team to provide intensive therapeutic case management to address child protection concerns and increasing capacity of the parents to reduce risk, mitigate harm, and keep their children safe.
