About the Role

This position requires relocation to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, to join the Fuels Affiliates Affairs Department (FAAD) as a Downstream Assets Manager. FAAD serves as the designated shareholder representative of the company's equity interest in domestic and international affiliates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Brief senior management on key decisions and prepare supporting materials as needed.
  • Oversee joint ventures (JVs), prepare materials for internal approvals, and manage review and alignment processes.
  • Assist JVs in accessing resources and services within the company.
  • Monitor, manage, or coordinate information requests, audits, site visits, and communications between the company and JVs.
  • Understand interfaces between the company and JVs, and intervene to ensure value creation and maintain support.
  • Manage ongoing operational and financial performance reporting.
  • Help develop the company's strategy and business plan for JVs.
  • Develop and drive the implementation of a coordinated influencing plan.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for performance improvement or synergy capture.
  • Develop and annually update JVs risk registries.
Requirements
  • Willingness to relocate to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or System Engineering.
  • 7+ years' relevant experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of engineering practices and US codes, standards, and specifications.
  • High-level understanding of technical and operational issues in refining and/or petrochemical facilities.
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of planning, economics, and financial controls.
  • Understanding of Saudi social, political, regulatory, and economic context, especially related to Downstream.
  • Ability to shape strategic objectives in a JV and utilize best practices for managing partnerships.
