We are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join our team at Charterhouse. As a key member of the payroll department, you will be responsible for processing end-to-end employee payroll according to relevant awards and EBAs.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Process weekly, fortnightly and monthly payroll
  • Maintain accurate payroll transactions, superannuation, tax, and deductions
  • Perform payroll reconciliations to ensure compliance with statutory regulations
  • Respond to payroll queries related to payroll tax and entitlements
  • Assist with payroll reporting, audits and process improvement
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to improve payroll processes

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years previous experience as a Payroll Officer
  • Strong working knowledge of MicrOpay, ideally within the last 2 years
  • Solid understanding of Australian payroll legislation, taxation, and superannuation
  • Experience interpreting multiple awards and enterprise agreements
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
