Job Description

As a Product Development Associate, you will work collaboratively with our teams to provide support across our portfolio of products. You will be responsible for managing new product development and reformulation projects within the Middle East and India pipeline, supporting product registration in each market, and collaborating with Marketing and Science teams to generate new concepts for our Swisse NPD pipeline.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support and manage new product development and reformulation projects within the Middle East and India pipeline.
  • Support product registration in each market, including technical review of specifications, dossier preparation, and providing technical advice.
  • Work with project teams to accelerate innovations by taking lead in technical discussions with manufacturers and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Science teams to generate new concepts for our Swisse NPD pipeline.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in complementary medicines, nutrition, or food industries.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Food Technology or similar Applied Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Formulation Chemistry.
  • Good understanding of regulatory environments across Asia, emerging markets, and Middle East and India for vitamins and dietary supplements.
  • Experience developing products or formulations from concept to launch or supporting the improvements of existing products.
  • Ability to assess and put together raw materials to ensure robust product formulations.
  • Experience with product assessments such as sensory evaluations, analytical testing, or stability protocols.
  • Have knowledge of regulatory environments (e.g., TGA or FSANZ).
  • Strong understanding or interest in the Australian & Global complementary medicine markets from both a commercial and technical perspective.
  • Experience creating technical briefs/product formulation briefs.
  • Ability to critically evaluate raw materials and experience assessing specifications and samples for suitability of use.
  • Experience sharing information to cross-functional teams in a meaningful format that makes technical detail easy to understand.
  • Familiar with processes such as change control and document control.
  • Experience working with contract manufacturers and ingredient suppliers.
