In this role, you will oversee the management of council facility leases from negotiation to compliance. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day property matters such as renewals and reviews, and provide expert advice to stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include managing the implementation of tenure arrangements through negotiation and collaboration with tenants and/or licensees. You will prepare appropriate tenure documents ensuring adherence to council policy and legislative requirements.
You will also provide guidance to service managers on tenancy compliance with tenure documents and council policy. Contribute to the strategic review of the property portfolio to enable responsible management of council facilities.
Follow up outstanding lease issues, documentation including assisting internal stakeholders with complex liaison issues and attendance of meetings as required. Contribute to the effective and customer-focused team operating with a strong customer and commercial focus.
To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience in a property and/or leasing environment. You must be able to identify inconsistencies and negotiate terms of tenure agreements effectively.
