Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated General Medicine Registrar to join our team at Charterhouse. As a General Medicine Registrar, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our medical team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and manage acute presentations to the emergency departments, in-patient care, and outpatient clinics.
  • Conduct daily Structured Interdisciplinary Bedside Rounds (SIBR) to ensure effective patient care.
  • Facilitate discharge planning and patient flow to optimize hospital operations.
  • Mentor and supervise junior doctors, physician trainees, and resident medical officers in the unit.
  • Participate in the after-hours and on-call roster to ensure 24/7 patient care.

Requirements:

  • General, Provisional, or Limited registration with AHPRA or eligible to obtain.
  • IMGs that have completed at least the AMC MCQ (part 1) or completed both AMC 1 & 2 (clinical exam).
  • IMGs eligible via the Competent Authority Pathway (training in the UK, USA, NZ, Canada, or Ireland).
  • IMGs assessed by RACP College as partially or substantially comparable.
