About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a General Medicine Registrar/Advanced Trainee in a dynamic and supportive environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, conducting daily Structured Interdisciplinary Bedside Rounds (SIBR), and participating in the after-hours and on-call roster.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment and management of acute presentations to the emergency departments, in-patient care, and outpatient clinics
  • Conducting daily SIBR and facilitating discharge planning and patient flow
  • Mentor and supervision of junior doctors, physician trainees, and resident medical officers
  • Opportunity to supervise and perform a variety of ward-based procedures
About the Facility:

Our facility is a large teaching hospital with over 650 beds, providing a wide range of services across more than 25 buildings. We cater to a population of over 550,000 and offer a diverse range of medical specialties.

Eligibility:

To be eligible for this role, you must have:

  • General, Provisional, or limited registration with AHPRA or eligible to obtain
  • Completed at least the AMC MCQ (part 1) or completed both AMC 1 & 2 (clinical exam)
  • Eligible via the Competent Authority Pathway (training in the UK, USA, NZ, Canada, or Ireland)
  • Assessed by RACP College as partially or substantially comparable
