Veterinary Surgeon Specialist

At TP Human Capital, we are seeking a highly skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at the Townsville Animal Care & Adoption Centre.
This is a coverage position for a permanent staff member on leave, providing an excellent opportunity for a dedicated individual to make a real difference in the lives of animals.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the vet clinic, ensuring high standards of animal care, disease control, and welfare.
Key responsibilities include performing veterinary duties, conducting temperament assessments, overseeing clinic operations, and mentoring staff in animal care and shelter procedures.
To be successful in this role, you will require strong surgical skills, particularly in spay/neuter procedures, as well as knowledge of animal welfare, shelter operations, and behavioural assessment.
A solid recordkeeping, problem-solving, and time management skills are also essential, along with experience managing a veterinary clinic (preferably).
