Job Title

A Senior Electrical Design Engineer is required to lead the design of electrical systems in our Asia Pacific Data Centers.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand evolving user needs and respond accordingly.
  • Oversee data center electrical designs in conjunction with other disciplines to create a unified construction document set.
  • Participate in site selection reviews to ensure optimal locations for our facilities.
  • Critical data center equipment design including site-wide medium voltage infrastructure, generators, uninterruptible power supplies, switchgear, transformers, and earthing solutions.
  • Develop designs that meet or exceed quality standards while staying within project constraints.
  • Work with regional vendors and manufacturers to specify suitable electrical equipment.
  • Communicate with local utilities to determine and define site utility requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with IEC requirements, APAC wide design codes, and other jurisdictional regulations through collaboration with local agencies.
  • Review and approve equipment submittals to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Determine project scope and provide technical support for information requests prior to and during construction phases.
  • Collaborate with commissioning teams to properly test and validate installation, operation, and performance of electrical systems.
  • Ability to manage concurrent projects across multiple geographical regions.
  • Travel to sites for on-site reviews and work with field engineers to provide engineering evaluations, electrical system audits, and startup assistance as needed.
