About BGIS Management Accountant Role

BGIS is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join our Integrated Trades Services division in Sydney. As a key member of the finance team, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing financial management and ensuring seamless integration of acquired businesses into BGIS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, forecasts, and drive annual budgets for optimal financial performance.
  • Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and provide actionable insights to enhance outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and align accounting standards with BGIS frameworks.
  • Identify and implement improvements to streamline processes for acquired businesses, driving efficiency and productivity.
  • Act as a liaison between corporate finance and operations, collaborating to analyze costs and improve profitability.
  • Drive automation and ensure compliance with BGIS business systems, including QMS, OH&S, and EMS.
  • Engage stakeholders, provide transparent reporting, and tailor financial deliverables to meet business needs.
  • Foster a positive environment, promote teamwork, and lead by example to ensure performance standards are met.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Educated to tertiary level in Business, Accounting, or Finance; CA or CPA preferred.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of management accounting experience, ideally within a trades-based business.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Experience with MYOB/Xero (or similar) and a willingness to learn new systems.

As a successful Management Accountant, you can expect a salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
