We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Manager - Projects to join our team at Australian Retirement Trust. As a key member of our Risk team, you will play a critical role in supporting the second line of accountability function on risk priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Head of Risk with engagement of key stakeholders, including regulators, to ensure effective risk management practices.
- Support the Head of Risk with significant risk priorities and material change activities, driving continuous improvement of our risk management practices.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and risk management practices, ensuring risk registers and emerging risks are well established and embedded across the organization.
- Provide expert guidance to business areas on risk management, including contributions to risk appetite statements, frameworks, policies, and other risk management activities.
- Lead and support controls assessment consultancy, providing expert guidance to assist business units in making informed decisions and implementing appropriate levels of control.
- Proactively promote a risk culture by discussing risk and controls within the business and in business unit forums.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Experience and/or qualifications in operational risk management.
- Deep knowledge of risk management and compliance objectives and approaches.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with stakeholders at all levels.
- A highly organized approach to information collection and dissemination.
- Well-developed verbal communication and writing skills, including the ability to present information to a high quality to all stakeholders.
- Ability to work under broad direction, manage competing demands, and effectively manage expectations of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment.
