Job Overview

This is a key role in delivering accurate and timely payroll services, ensuring system reliability, compliance, and detailed reporting. The Payroll Administrator plays a vital part in the organization's financial operations.

Duties:
  • Process weekly and monthly payrolls accurately and on time, including leave, benefits, and entitlements.
  • Prepare and lodge PAYGW, Superannuation, Payroll Tax, Work Cover claims, and payments.
  • Manage out-of-cycle payments, adjustments, bonuses, and leave cash-outs.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance Teams to resolve payroll queries and provide customer service.
  • Manage payroll data analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Manage workers' compensation claims and ensure compliance with legislation.
  • Support injured employees through rehabilitation and return-to-work processes.
  • Liaise with medical professionals, legal providers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide coaching and advice to leaders on injury management.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in payroll processing and HR administration.
  • A high level of accuracy and discretion, ensuring payroll and HRM data integrity.
  • Confidentiality is imperative.
  • A strong understanding of payroll legislation, awards, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in payroll systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Skills:
  • Certificate IV in Payroll Administration or equivalent.
  • Return to Work Coordinator certification.
