Job Title: Energy Research Specialist

The UNSW School of Photovoltaic and Renewable Energy Engineering invites applications for a specialist in Consumer Energy Resources. The successful candidate will be part of a collaborative team working with industry partners and across faculties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze energy systems data using tools such as Python, R, MATLAB, or Excel.
  • Handle and analyze large real-world datasets.
  • Query and manipulate large datasets from databases and platforms.
  • Develop algorithms to analyze compliance and curtailment under standards.
  • Engage with industry partners via regular meetings and presentations.
Requirements:
  • Level A: PhD or equivalent research experience; expertise in analysis and modelling using large energy-related data sets.
  • Level B: All Level A qualifications plus demonstrated excellence in research outcomes and leadership potential.
