The Australian Government has announced the stabilisation of existing business registers and their transfer from the ATO back to ASIC, under the Registry Connect Program. This program will provide reliable, secure, trusted, and efficient registry services to support the economy for the benefit of all Australians.
At ASIC, you can contribute to delivering on ASIC's purpose, vision, and strategic priorities to help maintain the integrity of the financial system and protect consumers from harm.
The Product Owner plays a critical role in driving the uplift and modernisation of ASIC's registers, user channels, and interfaces, representing the business and acting as an escalation point for business teams.
Role Details- This is a 36-Month Full Time Fixed Term Contract Position located in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, or Traralgon.
- Lead Business Analysts in developing high-quality, documented business requirements to enhance product functionality.
- Collaborate with Senior Leaders, Product Managers, Subject Matter Experts, and business teams to ensure the delivered product meets business needs.
- Partner with the Product Management Team to establish and manage a product backlog for platform applications.
- Collaborate with the Delivery Team to refine requirements and develop solutions aligned with business needs.
- Engage with Product Managers, SMEs, and Product Leads to understand ASIC's business processes and operational requirements.
- Work with Delivery Teams to define acceptance criteria for solutions on the One ASIC Platform.
- Assist with coordinating business testing (UAT and PVT), including preparation, execution, and supporting business representatives during testing.
- A relevant bachelor's degree and/or proven experience in gathering, analysing, and documenting business requirements.
- Ability to interpret complex business needs, resolve issues, and document effective solutions.
- Experience building and maintaining strong relationships with business and technology stakeholders.
- Proven ability to elicit requirements and identify opportunities for process improvement with business stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous experience in a Business Analyst or Product Owner role is advantageous.
