As a Category Growth Specialist, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive growth and revenue in specific product categories. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, build relationships with suppliers, and optimize operational processes.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Owning the category P&L, making informed decisions to drive revenue growth and profitability.
  2. Building strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of products.
  3. Developing and executing plans to increase sales, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency.
  4. Collaborating with marketing, finance, and supply chain teams to align business objectives and achieve desired outcomes.
  5. Analyzing data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, using insights to inform decision-making.
  6. Maintaining accurate records, reporting progress, and providing regular updates to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in retail, operations, product management, or business management/consulting, with a focus on negotiations and delivering results.
  • Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of professional or military experience, with a strong background in financial analysis and P&L ownership.
  • Experience managing large data sets, utilizing tools to drive performance and process improvements.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with colleagues, suppliers, and customers.
