We are a leading provider of Outside School Hours Care services in South East Queensland, offering opportunities for staff to grow and develop their careers.

About the Role

This is a casual position at our service, located on school grounds with its own building, community garden, chickens, and access to multiple playgrounds and outdoor spaces.

The service caters to around 60 children in the afternoons, celebrating the uniqueness of each child through a child-centred and child-led program that embraces diversity and the local community.

About the Position

This role will lead the development and implementation of our education program, promoting children's well-being, development, and learning by helping them develop values, attitudes, and ways of living and learning.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing the educational program and assessment
  • Ensuring children's learning and development informs the design of the educational program
  • Liaising effectively with parents, staff, and stakeholders
  • Making recommendations for improvements to educators' educational programs and practices
  • Mentoring and supporting educators understanding of the educational program and practice
  • Ensuring compliance with policy and regulatory requirements
  • Undertaking administrative tasks

Selection criteria include:

  • A Diploma in Children's Services or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum three years' experience in an Early Childhood Education and Care setting
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of the approved learning framework
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor others
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of child development, attachment, learning, and leadership theory
