Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Partnership Development: Collaborate with clients to create tailored privacy strategies that leverage their strengths and mitigate risks.
- Data Protection Leadership: Provide authoritative guidance on navigating Australia's intricate privacy laws, ensuring seamless compliance across diverse industries.
- Agreement Negotiation and Review: Draft, negotiate, and review commercial agreements that incorporate robust information law clauses, fostering trust and cooperation among stakeholders.
- Compliance Support: Offer expert support for various reporting and tracking requirements, helping clients stay ahead of evolving regulatory landscapes.
Requirements
- Expertise: 5+ years of PQE, preferably with in-house experience, showcasing a deep understanding of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and other relevant regulations.
- Knowledge: Proven track record in privacy law, coupled with strong knowledge of key legislation and regulations.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills, enabling you to thrive in fast-paced environments and build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Licenses and Qualifications: Must possess full Australian working rights and be eligible to practice in Australia.
