Apprentice Mechanic Role

We are looking for a skilled team member to assist in the servicing of new and old equipment within our workshop. As an apprentice, you will work on a wide range of machinery and gain essential skills for a successful career. You will complete a Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the maintenance and repair of machinery under warranty
  • Assist with diagnosis and fault finding in the mechanical assessment of machinery
  • Work collaboratively with the Workshop Leading Hand and Mechanics as directed
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Ensure a safe working environment and report any safety incidents or concerns to the Safety Manager
  • Contribute to participative arrangements and communication strategies for managing Occupational Health and Safety risks
  • Comply with company policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Progression towards a trade qualification in automotive electrical technology
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced work environment
