Urban Development Designer

Job Description

Delivering high-quality, innovative design solutions is key to success in this senior position. As an Urban Development Designer, you will play a pivotal role in leading design work from concept through to detailed documentation.

The ideal candidate will oversee and produce detailed civil design for roads, drainage, earthworks, water, sewer, and utilities. Additionally, they will review and improve design processes to drive efficiency and innovation.

Collaboration is essential in this role, as you will work closely with engineers, architects, planners, and landscape architects to create fully integrated design solutions. Technical guidance and mentoring of junior designers and engineers are also expected.

Key responsibilities include overseeing project budgets, tenders, and proposals. Representing the company in client and authority meetings is also crucial to maintaining strong relationships and ensuring smooth project delivery.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering or similar qualification.
  • At least 5 years' experience in Urban Development.
  • Advanced skills in 12D and CAD software.
  • Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
