Job Description

As an Environmental Health Officer, you will be responsible for promoting and enforcing standards to enhance the health, safety, and wellbeing of the community and the natural built environment.

This involves investigation of customer requests in public health, food safety, environment, and pollution events. You will also undertake health inspections to ensure compliance with legislative requirements through education and enforcement.

In addition, you will review Development Applications and provide advice concerning environmental and public health factors.

The successful candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to report clearly on complex matters.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Health/Science or a related field
  • Prior experience in environmental health or environmental science
  • Class C Drivers License
  • Demonstrated organisational and administrative skills

We offer attractive remuneration from $93,458.60 to $102,919.38 plus 11.5% superannuation.
