Role Title: Specialist Pharmacist in Cancer Care

About the Position:

This role is a challenging opportunity for an experienced clinical pharmacist to perform advanced pharmacy practice roles, including comprehensive medication review, therapeutic drug monitoring, and optimisation of cancer therapies.

As a Specialist Pharmacist in Cancer Care, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end medication management process, reviewing, validating, compounding, dispensing, and checking of chemotherapy and supportive medicines.

You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate smooth patient flow within oncology wards and outpatient clinics, while promoting clinical excellence and performance optimisation through knowledge sharing and effective leadership.

Additionally, you will contribute to departmental initiatives in medication safety, quality use of medicines, staff education, and practice-based research to support innovation and best-practice oncology care.

The ideal candidate will possess high-level clinical expertise, judgement, and competence in Cancer Care pharmacy services, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.

They will also have strong organisational abilities, with a proven capacity to manage complex workloads, demonstrate time management skills, attention to detail, and commitment to ongoing professional development.

We are seeking a Registered Pharmacist with AHPRA registration (no conditions on practice) who is eligible for Grade 2 classification under the Health Employees' Pharmacists (State) Award.

The successful candidate must be available for weekend and on-call rostered duties as required.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Registration with AHPRA
