Job Title: Dispatch / Noise Control Officer

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Dispatch / Noise Control Officer at the New Acland Coal Mine (NAC), a leading open cut mining operation in the Darling Downs region.

About the Role:

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for monitoring and managing noise levels, environment conditions, production schedules, safety protocols, and emergency procedures within our mining operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Environmental Monitoring: Manage noise levels by starting/stopping equipment as required, liaise with OCEs/Supervisors to ensure mining operations are maximized, monitor fauna detection systems, and respond to changing weather conditions.
  • Mining Operations Monitoring: Monitor mining equipment and plant using maps, machine status, loads, dumps, and Gantt charts.
  • Safety and Emergency Response: Be familiar with emergency procedures and act as the emergency communication centre if required.
  • Technical and Administrative Tasks: Use software tools for data analysis, respond to emails, and update Excel reports.
  • Assist production in machinery hot seat requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working in a control room/dispatch.
  • Previous experience as a Production Mineworker.
  • Advanced computer skills, including using MS Office/Excel and data analysis software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Solid understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
