About the Position:

This role requires a highly skilled and experienced Cost Analyst to provide cost analysis support to stakeholders and ensure compliance with project controls guidelines and procedures.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monthly SAP reconciliation (cost system to SAP)
  • Reconciliation of indirect costs such as flights, accommodation, timesheets etc.
  • Ensuring correct facility and commodity coding
  • Raising Capital appropriation requests
  • Supporting RFA and Contract Variations with cost data
  • Assisting with updating package monthly forecasts, trends and contingency
  • Supporting capitalization
  • Raising Project Cost Transfers where required.
  • Supporting managing the cost control shared mailbox.
  • Reporting and providing cost analysis support the project.
  • Ensuring compliance to the project controls guidelines and procedures by the project owner's team.
  • Managing cost assessments and ensuring timely and accurate cost validation, and valuation process.
  • Assisting in maintaining the integrity of integrated project cost reports
  • Supporting development of regular cost and change management reports, including professional analysis and commentary.
  • Assisting in the development and update of project cash flow forecasting
  • Supports compliance with standardized processes, systems and tools
  • Maintaining the relationship with contracting and project planning stakeholders to provide an informed forecast of the packages.
  • Collaborating with planners/schedulers, contracts and estimating groups to ensure that implications of changes are well articulated and understood.
  • Assisting with analysing and reporting implications of changes to the IC or annual plan vs forecast.
  • Providing technical support to project stakeholders
  • Providing an independent assessment of the package progress and estimate at completion.
