HESTA Super Fund, a top-performing industry super fund, is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join its finance team. As a key contributor to the organization's financial landscape, this role will play a crucial part in shaping the financial future of the company.

About the Role

  • This position involves preparing monthly Fund and Trustee management accounts with accuracy through meticulous reconciliation of investment transactions and balances with custody reports.
  • Collaborate closely with our custodian and investment portfolio accounting team to enhance the automation of financial reporting processes.
  • Conduct regular reconciliations of the Fund's investments to custodian reports, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with annual financial statements and other periodic regulatory reporting, contributing to regulatory disclosures as required.
  • Prioritize ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest accounting standards and best practices.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in the superannuation industry, preferably in a similar senior financial accounting role.
  • Strong knowledge of investment accounting, familiarity with custodian reporting, and proven ability to interpret and apply accounting standards.
  • Proven track record of implementing robust reconciliation processes and controls, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting.
  • Sound financial reporting skills, exposure to regulatory reporting, and tertiary qualification in Finance, Business, or Commerce.
  • CPA/CA accreditation is highly regarded, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional growth and excellence.

Compensation and Benefits

  • An estimated salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
