Control Systems Engineer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Engineer to join our team in delivering engineering projects for onshore fuel pipelines and associated facilities.

This role involves managing project delivery from approval to commissioning, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and HSSEQ standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing detailed control system designs and drawings, conducting risk assessments, and design reviews.

  • Develop and implement control system designs, conduct risk assessments, and lead design reviews.
  • Maintain direct contact with clients and stakeholders, coordinate engineers, CAD operators, field staff, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Prepare tender documentation, evaluate bids, monitor spend, and approve invoices in line with project budgets.
  • Oversight of site-based construction contracts, collaboration with site teams to meet health and safety targets, and assistance in developing commissioning strategies and plans.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical or Instrumentation and Control Engineering.
  • Experience in designing, developing, testing, and commissioning control systems, client-facing roles, and multidisciplinary team collaboration.
  • Tendering, budgeting, producing technical documentation, developing I/O and instrument indexes, data analysis, and reporting abilities.
  • Critical thinking, strong communication, teamwork, and leadership abilities, and a full and valid driving license.
