Executive Food and Beverage Director

We are seeking a seasoned leader to oversee the strategic management and production of food and beverage services across multiple sites in Australia.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the food and beverage operations, ensuring innovative and safe food and beverages within contract requirements. This includes routine meals, functions, events, and bar service.

A snapshot of your key responsibilities:

  • Cultivate a positive work environment that drives quality improvement through learning and personal development.
  • Lead and manage the food and beverage team across multiple sites in Australia.
  • Manage catering operations in line with contractual obligations while ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Establish and monitor food standards, preparation, presentation, and cooking techniques to meet brand guidelines.
  • Work with senior executives and the Head Chef to take corrective action when necessary and ensure company guidelines are followed.
  • Ensure the highest possible standard of hygiene is practiced and maintained by the kitchen team to meet health and safety regulations and food preparation guidelines.
  • Manage menus for all routine meal services, private, and formal functions in accordance with contractual agreements.
  • Manage food costs and expenses as per the onsite contract scope.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience leading and developing a multi-faceted food and beverage business with a focus on exceptional customer service.
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining productive and collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Hospitality Operations, Business, or related discipline.
  • Relevant certifications, such as HACCP Level 3 qualifications, First Aid Certificate – Level 3, Food Safety Supervisor certification, and RSA certificate.
  • Certificate 4 in Training and Assessment (TAE40122).
  • Basic accounting skills, including budgeting and reporting.
