Procurement Specialist

The Purchasing Officer role is a key position within the Calvary Kogarah Hospital, responsible for the procurement functions. This includes the procurement of goods and services, as well as the management of the hospital's fleet and communication systems.

• Procure goods and services in accordance with Calvary's procurement policies and procedures
• Manage the hospital's fleet and communication systems, ensuring they are maintained and upgraded as needed
• Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve cost savings and improve efficiency
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations

• High level of written and oral communication skills
• Sound knowledge of procurement techniques and controls
• Ability to identify and recommend improvements in processing and procurement techniques
• Understanding of department of commerce Smart buy
• Proven ability to negotiate with vendors on products to achieve the lowest total cost to CHCK
• Ability to work within the Mission and Values of Calvary Health Care Kogarah
