Key Responsibilities:
Deliver exceptional service to members in a timely and courteous manner. Conduct inspections and reassemble equipment that was sanitised the previous evening. Adjust display cases to meet daily production requirements and rotate stock accordingly. Transport cases of meat, weighing up to 36kgs, from refrigeration units to preparation areas. Skillfully cut and trim meat according to Costco's specifications using band saws and knives. Operate tenderising machinery while adhering to safety protocols. Manage the meat mincing process, ensuring quality by checking fat content in each batch. Follow established production standards for consistency and quality. Transfer processed meat into trays and load them onto large wheeled racks for wrapping. Assist in the wrapping process and maintain stock levels in the meat display according to the Meat Manager's merchandising strategy. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the work area throughout the day, including cool storage. Adhere to health regulations, ensuring proper sanitation and temperature controls. Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operation. Participate in monthly inventory assessments.Qualifications:
Education/Training: Completion of an Apprenticeship or Trade School is preferred.
Experience: Must possess full qualifications as a Butcher.
