About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and passionate individual to join our Fresh Food team as a Butcher and Meat Expert. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that our customers receive the highest quality meat products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present high-quality meat products according to Woolworths specifications
  • Execute merchandising standards, planograms, and layouts consistently
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members to provide a seamless shopping experience
  • Share knowledge and recommendations on cooking tips, storage, and handling of products
  • Coach and mentor upcoming talent to develop their skills and confidence
  • Role model safe and clean work practices, including trade floor, cabinets, prep area, and back of house
  • Follow company specification sheets and guidelines
  • Utilize computer applications and equipment to support business operations

Requirements

  • Australian Certificate III in Meat Processing (Retail Butcher) or equivalent
  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship within Australia
  • Current industry experience (3-5 years preferred)
