Lead School Psychologist Opportunity

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership to the school counselling team, ensuring effective collaboration and coordination of services.
  • Deliver high-quality psychological and counselling services to students from Kindergarten to Year 12, addressing mental health issues, behavioural concerns, and the impact of life events.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based tools and strategies to improve student outcomes, working closely with teachers and other staff members.
  • Oversee the clinical standards of school counselling staff, manage caseload delegation, and ensure seamless referrals to external services when necessary.
  • Design and deliver professional development programs for academic staff, enhancing their understanding of psychological issues and promoting relevant programs and techniques.
  • Engage with parents through informative sessions, providing education and support on child and adolescent development.
Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and current AHPRA registration as a psychologist, with demonstrated leadership experience.
  • A practicing Christian with a regular pattern of church attendance and active participation in church activities.
  • Significant relevant work experience, particularly in working with children and adolescents.
  • Ability to work autonomously, provide leadership to the school's wellbeing team, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Respect and support for the values and ethos of a highly regarded Christian school.
  • Current Working with Children check.
