About the RoleThe role is responsible for designing, implementing and evaluating learning strategies for nursing and support staff. The successful candidate will collaborate with the Director of Clinical Services to identify education and training needs that align with the National Safety and Quality Health Services (NSQHS) Standards and Calvary's Education Framework.
Main Responsibilities- IDentify specific learning requirements for each department through annual education needs analysis.
- Ensure educational activities meet the needs and expectations of customers.
- Maintain current knowledge of best practice in nursing and healthcare.
- Coordinate the development of evidence-based educational activities to meet quality initiatives.
- Manage the education team to achieve targets.
- Coordinate training and education to ensure staff comply with mandatory training requirements.
- Registration with AHPRA and a current practising certificate.
- A minimum Certificate 3 in Training and Assessment.
- Experience in leadership roles.
- A commitment to continuing professional development.
- Demonstrated knowledge of current nursing issues and practices.
- Good computer literacy and reporting skills.
