We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deckhand to join our team at Precruitment. As a Deckhand, you will play a critical role in the safe and efficient operation of our vessels.
Key Responsibilities- Deck Maintenance: Ensure the deck is clean and well-maintained, including the removal of debris and the inspection of equipment.
- Equipment Operation: Manage and operate boating equipment, including ropes, wires, and mooring lines, to ensure safe and efficient vessel operations.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure all safety equipment is in working order and adhere to Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Guest Services: Assist guests to safely embark and disembark from the vessel, providing excellent and professional client service.
- Maintenance and Inspections: Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of equipment to ensure good working order.
- Communication: Use strong and effective communication methods with staff and guests to ensure smooth and safe vessel operations.
- Qualifications: Hold at least a Certificate III and at least 1 year of relevant employment experience. If no relevant qualification, at least 2 years of relevant employment experience is required.
- Skills: Possess a PADI Divemaster Qualification, Master V, and MED II.
- Attributes: Have knowledge of the Reef and the ability to consistently be a part of a strong vessel crew delivering outstanding experiences to our guests.
The salary for this position is $60,000 – $70,000 based on experience.
