About the Opportunity

As a strategic leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving health, safety, and injury management systems within a University setting.

This position is responsible for collaborating with senior leaders to develop policies, procedures, and systems that support a culture of safety, prevention, and effective rehabilitation throughout the institution.

You will work closely with colleagues on cross-functional initiatives and maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies. Your engagement with the broader WHS and Self-Insurer community will help ensure the University remains at the forefront of safety best practices.

About You

Applicants bring a wealth of leadership experience in WHS within a medium to large organisation, ideally one with a complex risk profile. A strategic mindset, combined with strong planning and reporting capabilities, enables them to influence key stakeholders and drive meaningful change.

They are proven change leaders, committed to continuous improvement and best practice. Deep technical expertise in WHS, workers' compensation, and relevant legislation, standards, and codes of practice sets them apart.

A combination of formal qualifications in a relevant discipline and extensive experience in WHS and broader Human Resources management or equivalent knowledge and capability in Work Health Safety and general Human Resources management is required.
