Work Health and Safety Leadership Role

This role is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and review of work health and safety strategies to ensure a safe working environment across multiple sites.

As a Work Health and Safety Business Partner, you will be part of a team that delivers innovative health programs and virtual care services to patients across Australia. You will work closely with the executive team, other leaders, and staff to embed a culture of safety and wellbeing.

The successful candidate will have qualifications in Work Health and Safety, Nursing, or Allied Health, and extensive experience in a WHS role within a healthcare/clinical setting.

  • Develop and implement effective WHS risk management strategies to minimize harm and prevent incidents.
  • Collaborate with teams to review, develop, and implement WHS policies, procedures, and guidelines that align with industry best practice and legislation.
  • Manage risk assessments, incident investigations, and root cause analysis to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide specialist advice on WHS legislation, infection prevention, manual handling, and hazardous substances to stakeholders across all levels.
  • Support accreditation and compliance with safety standards and drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations.
  • Deliver targeted training and education to clinical and non-clinical staff to enhance their knowledge and skills in WHS.

The ideal candidate will have strong understanding of safety legislation, infection control, and clinical governance, as well as proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders across all levels. They will also have experience with incident management systems and safety data analysis.
