Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional to oversee the operational readiness of our mining activities.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project management, contractor management, and strategic leadership within an operational setting.

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing strategic, operational leadership and management to meet short-, medium- and long-term goals, objectives, and targets.

This includes reviewing proposed mining methods, equipment purchases, and allocation, and assessing costs of capital and operations to report to the General Manager.

The role also involves strengthening and fostering a dynamic environment to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the project delivery by collaborating with internal resources and external consultants.

Achieving the long-term sustainability of the operations is another key responsibility, including actively seeking growth opportunities that complement and add value to the operations.

The position requires a valid Western Australian 1st Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency or Quarry Managers Certificate.

Furthermore, the successful candidate will possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information in an accessible manner.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Extensive proven senior leadership experience in open-pit mining
  • Strong background in project management and contractor management
  • Recognized tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related field
  • Possess a valid Western Australian 1st Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency or Quarry Managers Certificate
