Graduate Immigration Lawyer Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented Graduate Immigration Lawyer to join our team in Melbourne CBD. This exciting opportunity is for a recent law graduate (or final-year law student) with a genuine interest in immigration law to work alongside experienced lawyers and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and lodging visa applications, appeals, and submissions to the Department of Home Affairs, ART, and other relevant bodies;
  • Conducting legal research and drafting client correspondence, legal documents, and advice letters;
  • Maintaining accurate client records and case management through our digital systems;
  • Liaising with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds with empathy and professionalism;
  • Supporting senior lawyers on complex matters, including ministerial intervention requests.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) completed or in final year (PLT students encouraged to apply);
  • A strong interest in immigration law and commitment to social justice;
  • Excellent legal research, drafting, and analytical skills;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy practice;
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal practice management software (desirable).
