Job Title:

Facilitate Peak Workshop Performance

  • Direct all aspects of tanker repairs, servicing, and maintenance to drive exceptional results.
  • Lead and mentor supervisors, technicians, and fabricators to ensure they are operating at peak performance levels.
  • Strategically manage workshop scheduling, production planning, and labour allocation to maximize efficiency.
  • Oversee the financial performance and budgeting processes to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Enforce strict adherence to industry standards, including AS2809, OH&S, and heavy vehicle modification regulations.
  • Drive a culture that prioritizes safety and enforces best practices.
  • Implement process improvement strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients to deliver service excellence.
Requirements:

A highly skilled individual with a proven track record in senior mechanical or fabrication workshop management roles is required.

  • At least 5 years of experience in a leadership position within a complex project environment.
  • Proven ability to manage large teams and lead complex projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of heavy vehicle repairs, mechanical servicing, and fabrication (bulk liquid tanker expertise highly desirable).
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, including budgeting, job costing, and cost control.
  • Hands-on experience with scheduling, production planning, and workforce management.
  • Technical knowledge of AS2809, OH&S, and heavy vehicle modification standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/job tracking software.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
