Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled tradesperson to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in heavy fabrication, welding, and project management.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to work on diverse projects from concept to completion and see their work come to life on equipment that keeps industry moving.

The successful candidate will be a qualified welder with a Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or equivalent, and will have demonstrated experience as a First Class Welder on heavy fabrication projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fabricating and welding heavy industrial components and structures to high quality standards
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
  • Inspecting and testing welds to ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards
  • Assisting with the operation and maintenance of workshop equipment and tools
  • Collaborating with the wider team to support delivery of projects on time and to specification
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Qualified welder with a Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience as a First Class Welder on heavy fabrication projects
  • Minimum 5 years' experience required
  • Proficient in a range of welding processes, including GMAW, FCAW, GTAW and SMAW
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • High-level safety focus, ensuring personal, team, and workplace safety at all times
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of relevant welding codes and standards
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and demand
